Biography:
Brian has been DJ'ing to audiences since the early eighties,
starting out as a roadie with a great love of music. His musical
styles had their roots in the early eighties soul and funk,
from artists such as The Fatback Band, D-Train, and Soul II
Soul. Brians' tastes have progressed through the evolution
of Dance music as we know it today and has passion and enthusiasm
for his art.
Brian currently receives promotional material regularly from
Dj in the mix, White Disc, Promo Only, and occasionally from
Music Factory. He always provides reaction reports, and compiles
charts based on audience reaction and personal perception.
In the last few years, Brian has embraced the new technology
in DJ'ing, using the industry standard Pioneer CDJ-1000 CD
turntables and DJM-600 mixer. He is keen to advance his skills
and has attended a DJ Course at The Academy of Contemporary
Music.
Brian currently runs a very successful mobile roadshow , playing
to varied audiences of 100+ guests every week for weddings,
birthdays, and corporate functions. In addition, Brian is
booked monthly for two large school discos with between 300
and 600 people. For these, Brian plays exclusively commercial
R&B, Hip-Hop and House as requested.
